Born between Turin and the Langhe, Elena brings an intimate knowledge of Italy’s landscapes, its culture and its way of life. She hosts every day of this week herself, with a local’s eye for what is refined and what is genuinely authentic.

Monday 2 November
Day 1 — Welcome to Torino
Torino is one of Italy's most elegant cities — royal palaces, grand arcades and historic cafés that have kept the same rhythm for two centuries. After settling into the hotel we take our first walk through the historic centre: Piazza Castello, Piazza San Carlo, and the quiet streets locals have loved for generations. In the evening we gather for our welcome dinner — seasonal Piedmontese cooking, exceptional local wines, and the first conversation of a week spent together.

Tuesday 3 November
Day 2 — The Soul of Torino
The morning belongs to the city's legendary cafés, where we trace the history of Italian espresso over handmade pastries, artisan chocolate and Turin's own Bicerin. We continue through hidden courtyards and elegant boutiques before free time for lunch. The afternoon is royal Torino — the palaces, the architecture, the story of Italy's first capital. The evening is given to a refined tasting menu of Piemonte.

Wednesday 4 November
Day 3 — Into the Langhe
We leave the city and drive south through rolling vineyards into the UNESCO landscapes of the Langhe. Our first stop is a family-owned winery where generations have given their lives to Nebbiolo, Barbera and Barbaresco. We walk among the vines before a private tasting paired with local cheeses and seasonal specialities. After lunch we wander Alba — artisan food shops, historic cafés, gourmet boutiques — undisputed capital of the white truffle and the hazelnut, and home to Ferrero. As evening falls we dine on ingredients grown a few kilometres away.

Thursday 5 November
Day 4 — Barolo and Slow Food
The morning is Barolo — how a small hilltop village became one of the great names in wine. We continue to Pollenzo, home of the University of Gastronomic Sciences, and to the philosophy that gave the world the Slow Food movement. The afternoon is yours, at your own pace, before dinner at one of the region's most celebrated tables.

Friday 6 November
Day 5 — Truffle Traditions
We take part in one of Piemonte's oldest rituals. With an expert trifolau and his trained dogs we go into the woods in search of the prized white truffle. The hunt is followed by a long, seasonal lunch, and then an intimate tasting at one of the Langhe's most respected boutique wineries. The evening is left beautifully unplanned — perhaps a glass on the terrace as the sun goes behind the vines.

Saturday 7 November
Day 6 — Barbaresco and Hidden Villages
Our last full day belongs to the quieter Langhe. We visit Barbaresco, Neive and one or two villages chosen for the season, meeting small producers and family estates that rarely reach a guidebook. Weather allowing, we walk out into the vineyard itself. Lunch is unhurried and entirely local. We close the week with a farewell dinner — the friendships, the flavours, the week behind us.

Sunday 8 November
Day 7 — Arrivederci
After breakfast it is time to say arrivederci. Private transfers take you to Torino Caselle Airport, or onward to wherever you are going next.

Where does the journey begin and end?
Your journey begins and ends in Torino. The nearest airport is Torino–Caselle (TRN). We recommend arriving a day early to settle in and enjoy your first evening in the city. After booking you will receive a pre-departure guide with arrival information, recommended flights, transfer options and practical notes. If you have any question before then, we are at your disposal.
Do I need a visa, and what documents should I carry?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates, and check the current entry requirements for Italy with the Italian Embassy or Consulate before you depart.
I would be travelling on my own — will that feel comfortable?
Solo travellers are warmly welcomed, and most of our guests come alone. A limited number of private rooms is available for a single supplement, subject to availability — simply let us know when you book.
How large is the group?
Ten guests, maximum. Our travellers come from different countries and backgrounds but share the same curiosity and love of authentic travel. Whether you come solo, as a couple or with friends, you will feel part of the group from the first evening.
Who will be hosting the journey?
Every Group Trip is accompanied by a dedicated Globara host who stays with you throughout. Along the way you will meet the winemakers, chefs, artisans and guides who share the stories and hidden places that make Piemonte what it is.
How does payment work?
A 30% deposit confirms your place. For departures booked more than six months ahead, 50% of the total is due six months before departure and the balance five months before departure. This November departure is inside that window, so a shorter schedule applies — see the payment schedule above. You will receive secure payment links and a friendly reminder before each instalment.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. We strongly recommend comprehensive cover for trip cancellation or interruption, medical expenses, emergency assistance, lost or delayed luggage and personal belongings. Insurance gives you peace of mind should anything unexpected arise before or during your journey.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy and booking conditions are set out in full in our Terms & Conditions, which you will receive before confirming your reservation. If you have questions before booking, we are always happy to talk them through.
